After watching the US national team suffer a 2-0 defeat to England it got me thinking. I think Bob Bradley has done a really good job since taking over, but these recent results have me scratching my head. I mean we go into England at Wembley with a team that we think can win right? So than why don't we try and win the game, but instead after going a goal down into halftime we start emptying the bench. We see Guzan in for Howard which is a red flag that we have already conceeded defeat and just want to give players experience. C'mon Bob were at Wembley, this isn't the time or the place to do this. I know I may seem pretty harsh, but I just feel like these last couple games we have played like this. We start a game with a decent line up, one that can win the game, and when things start to go wrong its just as if we started out the game with the intention of getting guys experience. Is this some kind of defense mechanism Bradley is using to make himself feel better, like Oh its okay we weren't trying to win that one anyways. I also have to question his substitution decisons, everyone got the call from the sideline except for Bocanegra, Onyewu, and Bradley. The first two I can understand becuase they are at the heart of our defense, but the third is a little suspect to me. How many times did Bradley touch the ball the whole game? The only time I noticed him was when he took down Beckham in the first half, but c'mon we couldn't even tell he was on the field. I like Mike and think he has turned into a decent player, but when you are not having a good game you need to get the call from the bench. Have a heart Bob to take out your own son even when he is not playing well. What do you think of he game? Do you agree/disagree with me? Would love to hear your thoughts.
