MLS Week 7: The Battle Out West

Houston vs Colorado
Houston is still looking for a win this season and I think they may get one against Colorado. The Rapids have had a decent start, but it seems like every game we see a different team. They have gotten good results against LA and New England, but losses to San Jose and Kansas City leave some questions to be answered. The Dynamo are going to be without Brad Davis, but I feel they are right on the cusp of things and will be a able to muster up a goal for the W.

Houston - 2 Colorado - 1

Real Salt Lake vs FC Dallas
This game seems to be a mismatch to me, FC Dallas is coming off a frustrating game and will be looking to show the rest of the league they are for real. Don't forget that this is the same FC Dallas team that started the season strong and looked very impressive against New York. Real Salt Lake is a team that I would compare to Colorado because you really don't know what you're going to get with them. I mean they win 4-0 over DC United and than they lose 4-1 to the same team 2 weeks later. It just shows you this team is unpredictable but I think Dallas will come out strong and have a good grasp on the game from the get go.

Real Salt Lake - 0 FC Dallas - 3

San Jose vs Columbus
A tale of two teams in this one, Columbus at the top of the league and San Jose at the bottom. The Crew will be without the services of Adam Moffat in this one, and it will be real test to see who can fill the void in the middle Ekpo or Miglioranzi. The Quakes are a struggling team, but you might see a little fire in the eyes of ex-crew forward Kamara who grabbed two goals against his former team in a preseason game. If Columbus gets an early lead in this one it may be over early, but if not San Jose will have hope and could steal three points late.

San Jose - 0 Columbus - 2

Los Angeles vs New York
This is going to be the first game Gullit will show what sexy soccer is in LA. Beckham got two goals last game, and will have more of an impact in this one with his confidence going. New York is a depleted team, but they are hoping for Angel's return to breathe new life into the team. Who knows if Jozy will show up because Osorio has said that he is being overworked and needs some rest. This is the game of the week in my eyes, and look to be impressed by this hollywood show.

Los Angeles - 3 New York - 1

New England vs Chivas USA
Both teams in this one are in need of a win in a bad way. New England has had a slow start to the year and a win would put them right back in the middle of the East. Chivas have looked impressive in every game this season, wins or losses and if they get confidence in this game they could impress. Sacha will take it upon himself to get the three points with a little help from Razov and Gallindo. This one is my pick for the sleeper of the week, not just because its on sunday but because both teams have a lot of injuries and did not have impressive games last week.

New England - 1 Chivas USA - 2
