The US will face England on May 28th at Wembley Stadium(3pm ESPN Classic), and Bob Bradley announced a 22 man roster yesterday for the match. The Roster consists of a lot of european based players with a few MLS guys sprinkled in. There are a few surprises though, one being the call up of Orozco for the game. He hasn't been capped yet and there had been talk that Bradley did not want to bring in players to this game who did not have experience in games overseas. The other surprise for me was Nat Jaqua, I just don't think this guy sould be on our national team. Yes he's an okay player who will do some things, but in my book he's not national team quality. Jaqua is a big tall strong forward who can't hold the ball up, isn't good one v one, and is more incosistent than I've ever seen. With his size he should be a point man and a guy to hold the ball up, but he can't. That is my take on the roster, you may see the rest of the selection below:
GOALKEEPERS - Dominic Cervi (Out of Contract), Brad Guzan (Chivas USA), Tim Howard (Everton FC)
DEFENDERS - Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham FC), Dan Califf (FC Midtjylland), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Jay DeMerit (Watford FC), Oguchi Onyewu (Standard de Liege), Michael Orozco (San Luis), Heath Pearce (Hansa Rostock), Jonathan Spector (West Ham United)
MIDFIELDERS - Freddy Adu (SL Benfica), DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers), Michael Bradley (SC Heerenveen), Ricardo Clark (Houston Dynamo), Benny Feilhaber (Derby County), Eddie Lewis (Derby County)
