Everything seems to be a little bit tighter after the weekend. New England got the victory in Columbus on a late goal by the Revs. A bit of a dubious call if you ask me to give New England a PK in the 89th minute with Ralston dribbling square across the box, but none the less it changes the game.
Also in the east the Chicago Fire put a hurt on the Red Bulls in a 5-1 victory showing how much they didn't miss former coach Juan Carlos Osorio. With victories for the Revs and the Fire they both jumped into a tie with Columbus with 19 points for the top spot in the East.
In the West LA came from behind to get a 3-1 victory over Kansas City. With the win the Galaxy claim the top spot in the West with 14 points.
FC Dallas was able to inch up the Western table with a win over Real Salt Lake. Dominic Oduro grabbed two goals in the last ten minutes in a match that saw two red cards one for each side.
Chivas USA was also able to get three points over the weekend in 2-1 victory over Colorado. The dream continues for Jorge Flores who got the game winner and his second goal in just as many games.
Also this weekend DC United was able to get there first victory in four games. Greg Sutton dropped a shot right on the door stop and Emilio followed it up for the game winner.
